Covered transport

The Romanian river transport still remains the cheapest and the most efficient mean of transportation. ROMNAV own three covered convoys, each with 4 barges and 2 tugboats, having a total capacity of 24.600 tones. The tugboats have between 1640 and 2400 HP. The transport is done on the Sulina / Constanta - Austria sector with approximately 6000 - 8000 tones of freight on each convoy. ROMNAV deals with brokers or directly with high profile companies involved in the cereals commerce. The convoys can pe employed for transport by filling the form INTERNATIONAL TRANSPORT.

Uncovered transport

Busy traffic portions can be avoided at lower prices! ROMNAV owns two uncovered barges convoys, each having 6 units of 2000 tones each and another convoy with 6 units of 1500 tones each. One convoy can trasport approximately 10.000 tones, depending on the Danube depth. The tugboats behind these convoys have 2400HP. These convoys are used mainly on routes having harbours with high speed of loading / unloading.

ROMNAV also offers freight transport for convoys of 3000 tones (2 barges of 1500 tones each) powered by 600HP tugboats. These 4 convoys can be used for low quantities or when the harbour is isolated. If you need this service, please fill in the form UNCOVERED TRANSPORT.
