About ROMNAV

The ROMNAV company has been established at the same time with the River Navigation Management (DNP) in 1903. Later, the evolution of the state owned company materialized into an increasing number of ships and of their quality.

After the fall of the comunism, the river fleet has been devided and Romnav is one of the resulting companies.

Since 1999, the company is 100% privately owned and listed at the stock exchange.

ROMNAV has structured it's activity on these directions:
- general freight transport with uncovered barges
- general freight transport with covered barges
- freight handling with floating cranes
- ferry boat for people and vehicles at the Braila - Smardan location. From the very beginning, the company dealt with river transport and freight handling on the Danube.

The group is active on the entire Danube, including the inner channels and as far as the Constanta harbour.
